Fair Warning: While the Purchase & Sale Agreement (aka Contract) does specify that the property is to be left in “broom swept” condition, sometimes that just doesn’t happen. We have some strategies to deal with this, but none of them will immediately solve the problem.
You just bought your home, and you should (rightfully) be anxious to settle in as soon as possible!
You do NOT want to move into a pre-dirty home, or spend the first day (or more) cleaning it.

all the stuff they didn’t care about moving.

Hire a cleaner, and soft-hire a junk removal company (if we need them, we can call them). Pre-schedule them for around Closing Day.
We might be able to do it the day before, if everyone agrees to it.
Here are some criteria to consider:
- Cost
- Lead time for scheduling (If they are booked a month out, that’s not going to work for us, ya’ know?)
- Their communication level with you as a potential client.
- Reviews & Ratings
Specialty Offerings vary wildly, and you may, or may not, actually need them.
Figure out now if you’re paranoid about this particular thing, and make sure they offer that! If not, we should line up an expert in that field now too.
