Shocker – you’re going to need to get your stuff from where you currently live to your new home.

Yes, you can DIY via U-Haul or bribe your cousin Billy Bob with a six pack to use his trailer.

But maybe you’re not up for lifting furniture. I know I’m not!


Moving Boxes

These can get expensive, but you can always pick up cardboard moving boxes from U-Haul, Lowes, or Home Depot.

But now there is an affordable upgrade – hard plastic boxes that you can rent or buy:


Moving Containers

The best of both worlds. You move your stuff into the Container, they move the Container, you move your stuff into your new home.

Moving Containers: PODS, PackRat, and the like. They deliver a container, you load it, they haul, store, and deliver it to your new address. Fantastic, just make sure you tie down anything you don’t want shifting during transport. And maybe, if it’s a priceless heirloom, figure out a safer way to get it there.
