Veterans helping veterans by going fishing? Sounds perfect.
The Veteran Realtor® interviews Jeremy Gordon, Vice President of VetCatch ( VetCatchInc.org or facebook.com/VetCatch ).
It seems like such an obvious match – take Veterans fishing with other Veterans. Being out on the ocean, fresh salt air, with a fishing pole in hand, while surrounded by your brothers and sisters in a supportive (if occasionally bawdy) environment.
I was surprised to learn that VetCatch got its start right here in the Tampa Bay area of Florida!
This was their first major event, and there was a great turnout. Jeremy Gordon was gracious enough to be interviewed, where we discussed the history, goals, and unique strategies that make VetCatch so appealing and effective.
We also discussed the difference between a VFW Post (Veterans of Foreign Wars) and The American Legion, and how other Veteran Organizations are contributing to their success.
And, of course, there is some decidedly Veteran humor and some fishing too.
Sponsors and participants in this event include:

and Liberty Outdoors ( LibertyOutdoors.us or facebook.com/LibertyOutdoors.US )
who went a bit overboard with coolers and kayaks galore!
And, of course, our Captains, who made it possible for the attendees to get out on the water properly.
